Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Ink Video Editor ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ink Video Editor, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be legally bound by them.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal Android device solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

·         Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App

·         Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App

·         Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose

·         Upload, process, or share video content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights

·         Upload content that is obscene, defamatory, harassing, violent, or illegal

·         Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems

·         Use the App to develop a competing product or service

·         Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels within the App

4. User-Generated Content

All videos, images, and content you create, edit, or export using the App remain your sole property. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and edit the content you process through the App.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of the Ink Video Editor Team and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws worldwide. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements. These ads are served by Google LLC and are governed by Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. By using the App, you consent to the display of interest-based advertising by AdMob. You may opt out of personalized ads through your device's ad settings.

7. Third-Party Libraries

The App uses open-source libraries including FFmpegKit and other components. These are subject to their respective open-source licenses. We acknowledge and comply with all applicable open-source license requirements.

8. Firebase & Internet Access

This App connects to Google Firebase Realtime Database solely to download the tool and command library (CommandLibrary) that powers the App’s features. No personal user data is uploaded to Firebase. Internet access is required for this content delivery. Firebase is a service of Google LLC and is governed by Google’s Terms of Service (https://firebase.google.com/terms). Admin-level Firebase access is restricted to the developer only, secured via Firebase Authentication with UID-level access control. Regular users are never asked to log in and Firebase Auth does not collect any end-user data in this App.

10. In-App Permissions

The App may request access to device storage (read and write) to import media files and save exported videos. These permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality and are not used to access unrelated personal data.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ink Video Editor Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any other damages arising out of your use or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms within the App or on our associated platform. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with internationally recognized principles of commercial law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to binding arbitration or the courts of the jurisdiction where the developer is based, as applicable under local law.

This Privacy Policy explains how Ink Video Editor ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable global data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable laws.

1. Information We Collect

·         Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, and app version — collected automatically to ensure compatibility and performance.

·         Usage Data: Anonymous data about which features you use and how you interact with the App, collected to improve user experience.

·         Advertising Data: Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID), IP address, and device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

·         Media Files: All video, audio, and image files you import into the App are processed locally on your device. We do not upload your media to any external server.

·         Crash Reports: If the App crashes, anonymized crash logs may be collected to help us identify and fix bugs.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

·         Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information (unless you contact us directly)

·         Your video content, photos, or edited files — all processing occurs locally on your device

·         Your location data

·         Financial information or payment data

·         Contacts or call logs

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

·         Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality

·         Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs

·         Deliver advertisements through Google AdMob

·         Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage trends to enhance user experience

4. Google AdMob and Advertising

We use Google AdMob to serve ads within the App. AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies to collect data for ad personalization. Specifically:

·         AdMob may use your Android Advertising ID to serve interest-based ads.

·         You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization on your Android device.

·         We comply with Google AdMob's policies, including requirements under GDPR for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, and CCPA for users in California.

For users in the EEA/UK, we obtain consent for personalized advertising as required by applicable law.

5. Firebase — What Data Is Used

This App uses Google Firebase Realtime Database to fetch the CommandLibrary — a JSON file containing the list of video editing tools and their associated FFmpeg commands. This data is fetched from Firebase on app launch and cached locally. No personal user information, no videos, no device identifiers, and no usage behaviour is sent to Firebase by this App.

Firebase Authentication is used exclusively for developer-side admin access to update the CommandLibrary remotely. Regular users are never asked to log in, and Firebase Auth does not collect any end-user data in this App.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your media files and exported videos are stored locally on your device in device storage (e.g., Movies/InkEditor/). We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain anonymized usage and crash data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Advertising data retention is governed by Google's policies. You may delete the App at any time to remove locally stored data from your device.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

This Disclaimer governs your use of Ink Video Editor. By using the App, you accept this Disclaimer in full. If you disagree with any part of this Disclaimer, do not use the App.

Ink Video Editor is provided "as is" without any representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind. The Ink Video Editor Team makes no representations or warranties in relation to this App or the information and materials provided within it.

2. No Warranty on Performance

We do not warrant that:

·         The App will be continuously available or available at all times

·         The information in the App is complete, true, accurate, or non-misleading

·         The App will be free from bugs, viruses, or errors

·         The App will be compatible with all Android devices or future OS versions

·         Exported video files will meet specific quality standards on all devices

3. Media and Content Disclaimer

You are solely responsible for the content you create, edit, export, or share using Ink Video Editor. You must ensure that:

·         You have the legal right to use all video, audio, image, and other media you import into the App

·         Your use of any media does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties

·         Content you create does not violate any applicable local, national, or international laws

·         You obtain all necessary licenses and permissions for music, footage, photographs, and other copyrighted materials

The Ink Video Editor Team is not liable for any copyright infringement or legal consequences resulting from your use of third-party content in the App.

4. Advertising Disclaimer

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any advertiser or advertised product or service. Advertisements displayed within the App are not recommendations or endorsements by us.

5. Third-Party Software Disclaimer

Ink Video Editor uses FFmpegKit and other open-source libraries. While we integrate these tools with care, we make no representations about the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of third-party software. Their respective licenses govern their use.

6. Data Loss Disclaimer

We are not responsible for any loss of data, including video projects, edited files, or exported media, arising from App crashes, device issues, storage failures, or any other cause. We strongly recommend users maintain regular backups of their important files.

7. Firebase Content Disclaimer

This App fetches tool and command data (CommandLibrary) from Google Firebase Realtime Database. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy and safety of this data, we make no warranty that the content delivered via Firebase will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Firebase service availability is governed by Google and is outside our direct control. Downtime or changes on Google’s side may temporarily affect content delivery within the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Ink Video Editor Team, its developers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes but is not limited to: loss of videos or media, loss of business, loss of profits, or any other pecuniary loss.

9. Changes and Updates

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

10. Jurisdiction

This Disclaimer shall be governed by internationally accepted principles of law. If any provision of this Disclaimer is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
